NOV 3rd: Cheese & Cheer; Craft Beer pairings 7-8pm // for the parents you can come sit and enjoy the fun of craft brews and cheeses just in time for the Holiday season. Cost is $40/person but you get to leave with two bottles of wine and a DIY of mulled spiced sache. If you can’t make it check out whats going on Nov 17th down below, they are hosting a similar event.
NOV 5th:Frank Underwood’s Washington: A House of Cards Walking Tour 9:30- 1:45// Walk a guided tour around DC and spot some of your favorite locations from the show! Perks, its free exercise, free of charge, and then you will know all the great spots when friends come into town to visit.
NOV 10: Coffee Cupping and Homebrewing Workshop with Peregrine Espresso for the coffee lovers (aka me)! Join experienced baristas, taste different coffees and learn to identify the styles you enjoy. Then, learn how to make those coffees taste great at home – and take away a 12oz bag of coffee to practice with at home. $40 a person must buy tickets prior $40
Nov. 11th:Veterans Day at Arlington National Cemetery//  Wreaths will be laid at Arlington Cemetery’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as well as at many of the other monuments to honor our country’s soldiers and others who have served. Wreath laying ceremony begins promptly at 11am and is an amazing way to spend the day with your kids.
Nov. 12th: Veteran’s Day Parade in Manassas // Continue honoring those that have given so much to our country, by watching a Veteran’s Day Parade in Manassas, VA
Nov. 13th: National Harbor Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony // If you are excited to deck the halls, join the community at National Harbor at their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The festivities begin at noon and go until the tree is lit at 7:30pm.

NOV11:Open Studio at the Portrait Gallery//  FREE Bring the kids and enjoy a fun free for all with arts and crafts with the kiddos.
NOV12: The DC Art Book Fair //  It’s a one-day event designed to spotlight local makers of paper goods, from artistic photo prints to high-end artist publications and everything in between. A curated event, it will take place at Lab 1270 at Union Market 11am-6pm
NOV17:Mulled Wine with Cordial Wine & Bazaar Spices! @ Union Market // Join Cordial Craft Wine, Beer, and Spirits and Bazaar Spices for a festive mulled wine class to ring in the holiday season! Learn the history, watch demonstrations, and drink all while doing so. You’ll be going home with two bottles of wine and a DIY mulled spices sachet. $40/person 7-8PM
Nov. 19th:ICE! At the Gaylord in National Harbor // This annual holiday tradition will be running from Nov. 19thJan. 1st Adult tickets are $29/pp – kids ages 3-11 are $21/pp – and children under 2 are free. If you are really feeling festive or are interested in making a “staycation” out of it, the Gaylord hotel also has package deals of tickets and accommodations. **Check sites such as Groupon for discounted tickets.**
NOV 20th:  Vienna Turkey Trot // If staying in VA  works best for you the Vienna Turkey Trot is an awesome option. Distances range from 1K to 10K, as well as a Kids Fun Run.
NOV 24th: Alexandria’s 41st Turkey Trot 5miler // Running 5miles through stunning Del Ray is a great way to start your Thanksgiving morning. Note they only offer the 5 miler and no kid runs.
NOV24th: Alrington Turkey Fun Run/Walk 5k // They raised over $100k last year so join roughly 5,000 others on thanksgiving for the fun run. Your registration cost helps provide housing for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
NOV24th: Fairfax Turkey Trot // Why not do this run through beautiful old town Fairfax?! One of the larger runs in NOVA so be sure to sign up because it does fill up!
NOV 24th: Trot for Hunger in DC walk-run-fun run //  We will be making room for a larger supper on thanksgiving morning by running to support SOME (So Others Might Eat). $35-$40 but sign up early it is $50 for same day sign up.
Nov 24th:January 2nd: Seasons Greetings from the US Botanic Gardens // Walk and enjoy the season flowers and decorations for the holidays while listening to live music. Every year they really out do themselves with lights, trains, and music and this year should be no exception. FREE
